Home Spa: Wellness oasis at home

The Advent season has already begun, outside it is getting colder and colder and we are longing for some wellness and me-time. It is about time to take some hours for yourself and do something good for your soul.

Due to the current restrictions we are not able to realize a wellness vacation or a spa visit. So why don't we simply transform our home into a wellness oasis and pamper our body? Let us treat ourselves to peace and relaxation in our own wellness oasis.

Here are some tips on how to turn your home into a home spa:

Creating a scent-oasis with scented candles and room sprays

Scented candles and room sprays are available in a wide variety of scents, colors and designs. According to the season we recommend candles with vanilla or cinnamon scent, which put us in the right mood for Christmas. Scented candles not only bring cozy light into cold, gloomy winter days, but also contribute to a cozy and romantic atmosphere - the perfect setting for a home spa.

Relaxation in the bathtub or under the shower

Whether in the bathtub or under the shower - regular peeling helps to loosen dead skin cells from the body and makes the skin soft again. For the face, fruit acid peelings or enzyme peelings are recommended, for the body a mechanical peeling can also be used. If you have a bathtub, you should not forget bath additives with essential oils. Lavender, ylang-ylang, vanilla or chamomile have a calming and relaxing effect. Showering off with cold water at the end of the shower or after a bath gets the circulation going.

DIY bath additive: Mix sea salt with oil (e.g. jojoba oil) and add a few drops of an essential oil.

Face and body care

After a thorough peeling, the skin is particularly receptive for intense care. The facial skin can be pampered with active substance-rich ampoules, face masks or rich face creams. Face masks are available, for example, for application from jars or as sheet masks impregnated with active ingredients. Eye masks or eye pads also have a very refreshing effect and make the eye area shine after only a short time. Rich body lotions or body oils are recommended for the body. Work the selected product into the skin in circular movements for an extra massage effect.

DIY mask: Mix half an avocado, a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of yogurt in a bowl, apply to the face and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Then wash off thoroughly.

Care for hands and feet

Our feet are often neglected. A foot bath for 10 minutes with essential oils works wonders. Ready-to-use masks for hand and foot care are especially practical. Gloves and socks are impregnated with care substances that you simply put on and leave on for a certain time. There are even foot masks that after a few days can remove stubborn free cornea and give your feet a velvety soft skin feeling. After the intensive care, a manicure or pedicure is also recommended.

Things you also need for a relaxing homespa day:

- reading material

- Favorite drink such as a glass of wine or a warming tea

- Fluffy Bathrobe

- Relaxing music (Relax playlists are available on Spotify or Youtube)

- Delicious snacks (fresh fruits and nuts)

The most important thing: Simply switch off and put the cell phone aside and concentrate fully on yourself and your own wellness oasis. A Home Spa Day is also a wonderful possibility for quality time with your partner or best friend.
