Blemished Skin During Summer? This Routine Can Help.

When the degrees Celsius on the thermometer rise, it's time to upgrade your skincare routine, too. Here are three (or four) simple steps that favour clear skin.

The right skincare routine is the key to radiant skin - in summer and all year round.

Just like every phase of life, every season brings its own challenges for the skin. Depending on the temperature and external influences, the needs of our skin vary - accordingly, we also have to adapt our care routine in order to have happy and radiant skin all year round.

While in winter many people tend to have dry skin, in summer it is above all skin impurities that often cause problems. This is caused by many factors - increased sebum production, sweat, sunscreen - in the warmest season there are several causes that can lead to clogged pores and thus to the development of pimples and blackheads. But we don't want to spend too much time thinking about how or why impure skin can occur more often during summer. We much rather focus on all the tricks and tools that help us to prevent it from happening in the first place.

Step 1: Cleansing

Deep pore cleansing is the non plus ultra when it comes to clean skin. The word itself says it all, which is why it's so easy to remember: The right cleansing ensures radiantly clear skin! As mentioned earlier, various factors play a role in why the skin tends to be more oily in summer. Therefore, it must be cleansed gently but thoroughly in the evening. A high-quality micellar water, for example, is ideal for this. It removes make-up and dirt without drying out the skin.

Step 2: Water

Depending on the skin type, the needs differ, of course, but in summer almost every skin type benefits from a double cleansing. After removing make-up, it is best to wash the face not only with water, but also with a face wash gel. Also make sure the water is at the right temperature: Lukewarm water is perfect, because too hot water dries out the skin and too cold water promotes sebum production.

Step 3: Peeling

This step is optional and can be integrated into the routine once or twice a week. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and cleanses the skin on a deeper level. The scrub should not be too greasy and should not dry out the skin. As with all other steps, it is about finding the golden middle and about carefully observing what your skin needs.

Step 4: Care

Using the right skincare products is the last step, but at least as essential as the others. In summer, the motto is: It's all about moisturising. Creams that are too greasy should be avoided so that clogged pores are not encouraged even more. At the same time, sun, sea and pool water as well as wind can also dry out the facial skin, so products that moisturise without being greasy are a top choice.

This beauty knowledge is incredibly simple, but also incredibly effective!
