Private Shopper, Luxury Consultant or Jewellery advertiser – what job title would you give yourself?
All of the above (laughs). I am in charge of special clients special wishes. I like to think of myself as a happiness-provider and beauty-sharer and deal hunter. It’s a very joyful “job” that I have created for myself.
Which areas does the field cover?
It is a very vast field - a luxury lifestyle. I work on one side with private clients and for them, I source diamonds and jewelry mainly, but I also help with other things – from Haute Couture commissions to real estate hunting.
What is the most unusual wish you could fulfill?
Definitely a racing horse with a specific bloodline. It was a present for a president of a country – of course I ca not tell you which one. It had to be found, bought and shipped first class to be delivered with a bow.
Jewelry is one of your areas of expertise - what trends do you currently see?
I am so pleased to see more color, meaning also more gemstones and not only diamond jewelry. Another trend that I see is that high jewelry pieces are becoming suitable for the younger generation.
What can you tell us about your special relationship with jewelers?
I have been in the jewelry industry for 20 years now and I am proud to say I know quite a few of the top jewelers personally. It’s a relationship built in trust over many years working together. What this gives to my clients is special attention, perks, and prices. First access to incredible and very rare stones, jewels, invitations to very exclusive high profile events.
You also advise on the purchase of stones - what investments do you currently recommend?
History and auction prices show that colorless diamonds in the top range of color and clarity above 5 ct as well as rubies, emeralds, and sapphires from the top mines tend to hold their value the most.
