DIOR GOLD CAPSULE: Golden times await us
The Maison's Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri shows new pieces and limited editions of the Book Tote Bag, the Dior Caro and the Lady Dior.
Gold has always been a symbol of the house's timeless boldness and creativity. An Ariadne thread that began to weave in the childhood of founding couturier Christian Dior and appeared in the 1947 autumn-winter collection with the delicately embroidered Golconde dress in gold lamé.
In homage, Maria Grazia Chiuri reinterprets the Dior Gold collection. It consists of the house's iconic models, enhanced - naturally - with dazzling accents.
Today, these luminous hues are found on long dresses and midi skirts in poetic tulle and lace or cotton lurex jacquard with a gorgeous drape, as well as on airy and cosy knitwear. Also included is a boxy jacket in blister fabric adorned with buttons emblazoned with the word "CD", promising refined charm.
The Lady Dior and Dior Caro bags shine in iridescent leather, available in three luminous versions - gold, gold-pink and silver - and adorned with tone-on-tone details, while the Lady D-Joy is presented in a version with the graphic lines of metallic Diamond Cannage.
Shoes - from the 30 Montaigne and D-Way mules to the Walk'n'Dior sneakers - also shine in golden tones.
