MOOI & the Nail Polish that Changes the World
MOOI (Dutch for beautiful, pretty) offers the beautiful things in life in Vienna. Beauty treatments and shopping in the feel-good oasis are the focus here. MOOI is also the only nail salon in Vienna to offer a nail polish revolution. Curious?
When you enter MOOI at Josefstädterstraße 50, you are immediately hit by the pleasant smell of coffee. After a long career in the beauty industry, owner Petra Mair has set up her own business and opened MOOI during the pandemic.
But what doesn't kill you only makes you tougher, as we all know. Talking of which! The "Green Flash" nail varnish by Manicurist is also cured here under the LED lamp. The beauty brand from Paris worked for two years on a formulation that produced a nail varnish that is supposed to be removable like a "normal" nail varnish, but is harder and more resistant and resembles a gel varnish. It is also supposed to be non-harmful to health. What sounds like a Christmas wish list was actually formulated!
This is how "Green Flash" was presented, which has always been showered with prizes from the beauty industry. Remarkably, however, "Green Flash" consists largely of plant-based ingredients and does not contain hormonally reactive substances as found in conventional UV varnishes.
In contrast to other nail polish manufacturers, Manicurist also focuses on home application in addition to salon manicures and offers its own home kit.
Whether you have it or not, the "Green Flash" nail polish can be removed with any conventional nail polish remover - and without sanding! - within a few minutes. Simply apply cotton wool soaked in nail polish remover and wait a short while. The nail polish can then be peeled off. If only everything were that simple.
