Wine and Dine Stops with Des & Jen
Double trouble: Twin sisters Desiree and Jennifer Selmanovic (@desnjen) also pose as a united front when it comes to their careers. The two Viennese women with Croatian roots write about fashion, lifestyle & beauty and also work as models. Desiree recently moved to Milan to further her modeling career. Lucky for us, as she can now offer her advice when it comes to the fashion metropolis’ hotspots.
Le Bol, Vienna
This is the ideal place to have breakfast or brunch in Vienna, according to twin sisters Desiree and Jennifer Selmanovic, also known as Des & Jen. Their special recommendation: “Café Brûlot, a cafe au lait with cinnamon and vanilla. We also love the avocado toast with poached egg and the yogurt with berries, almonds, and coconut flakes.
Kulinarium 7, Vienna
The duo counts the Dalmatian restaurant, located in the in Sigmundsgasse 1 in the 3 seventh district, amongst their absolute favorites: “It has an open kitchen and you can watch the chefs preparing the food. Our tip: Fish soup - a house specialty”. “Fresh fish from Croatia, a great ambiance and a well-stocked wine cellar”, they add.
Park Hyatt – The Lounge, Vienna
When it comes to teatime, Vienna luxury hotel Park Hyatt is an absolute must. In addition to the extensive selection of teas and desserts, the influencer duo particularly appreciates its relaxed atmosphere: “The perfect retreat after a long stroll through the city”
Longesteria, Milan
The Restaurant Longesteria, of which there are now three other branches in the city, offers dining at the highest standards in the fashion metropolis. They specialize in seafood and the wine list is also impressive. “The service is excellent!” praise the sisters.
El Porteno, Milan
There are now four restaurants in the city that go by this name. Argentinean cuisine is served as well as “what is probably the best steak in all of Milan”. It is extremely popular amongst the Milanese and enjoys an excellent reputation.
Ceresio 7, Milan
The influencers, whose feed focuses on fashion and beauty, also have something in store for fashion fans: “Label Dsquared2’s headquarters. In spring and summer, we recommend the roof terrace - there is a pool with a great view of the city.” Its perfectly designed interiors are an added bonus.
Il Ristorante Niko Romito, Mailand
This restaurant is housed within the exclusive Bulgari hotel in the Brera district. Especially during the warmer season, the idyllic garden is a gem of relaxation in the hectic city. During Fashion Week it also turns into an absolute hotspot: “The Bulgari accessories presentation always takes place here - with fantastic catering, of course.”
