H&M celebrates its collaboration with Mugler and hosts the biggest fashion party in Berlin
On 3 May 2023, H&M celebrated the launch of its highly anticipated collaboration with the iconic house of Mugler at Wilhelm Studios in Berlin.
H&M hosted its biggest launch party in Europe, an energetic evening where music and fashion collided and friends of the brand came together to celebrate. The headliner, rapper Tommy Cash, heated up the stage and kept everyone dancing non-stop.
The event became an unforgettable experience, with a variety of curated spaces and live DJ sets from VTSS, Toccororo and Chippy Nonstop. Performer and producer Zebra Katz completed the extravagant line-up that brought together sound, style, live performances, club culture and dance. A true tribute to the theatricality and flamboyance that has characterised the house from its beginnings under Thierry Mugler to its current incarnation under the direction of Casey Cadwallader.
Guests at the party included Berlin industry insiders and key opinion leaders, as well as international press and celebrities such as Lena Gercke, Ruby O Fee, Eva Padberg and Mathea, all wearing pieces from the Mugler H&M collection.
The collection was presented in different areas: Guests were led through a bright room where mannequins were presented on blocks of ice in a transparent installation. The sensual space aroused the curiosity of the guests, who were then led through a dark room where they could interact with the collection and themselves, enhanced by the immersive installations of contemporary light artist Nick Verstand.
The event, attended by over 900 guests, exemplified the sense of diversity and inclusivity that is central to Mugler and underpins the democratic ethos of H&M's design collaborations.
