After the launch of Pierpaolo Piccioli's new color Pantone Pink, the Italian fashion house aims even higher by introducing its new cult logo. The debut of the Valentino Vintage project starts with a graphic sign, a logo that encompasses all the Valentino logos, and with them the stories of the garments that bear them on their label.

Back to the 1970s

The graphic design of the new Valentino logo is strongly reminiscent of the 1970s. In the Toile Iconographe collection it can be seen on shirts, shorts, dresses, scarves, bags and bucket hats. The colours are primarily black and beige. A dark chocolate shade has been added to the legendary Valentino red.

Joe McKenna worked on the advertising campaign, while Pat McGrath and Guido Palau are responsible for the models' make-up and hairstyles respectively.

"The logo becomes everything, an indelible sign of our times"

Valentino described his new symbol this way; "The logo becomes everything. Obsessive and exaggerated, at the same time liberating and unique. Original and elegant indelible sign of our times and our contradictions-actions."

We will see if the brand founded by Valentino Garavani hit the mark again this time with the revamped logo collection.

Forever Valentino lands in Qatar

The celebrations of Valentino Garavani's 90th birthday have also arrived in Qatar. From 28 October, the exhibition "Forever Valentino", which traces the most important moments in the brand's history, can be visited in Doha. It is a journey of discovery into the signature features of the house that have made it a timeless icon of haute couture. The exhibition is curated by Massimiliano Gioni, artistic director of the New Museum in New York, and fashion critic Alexander Fury.
