In keeping with the cold temperatures, a new accessory trend is circulating through the internet and our streets: Over-ear headphones. This is not the first time that technological items have become statement pieces. In recent years, we've seen the trend of barely visible headphones, like Apple's Airpods, as well as their counter-movement with wired headphones, which was particularly present in 2021.
Since Apple launched their Airpod Max in December 2020, the popularity kept growing and over the last year they became more and more of an it-piece.

But it was mainly through content on Tik Tok that over-ear headphones became big. "Throwing on headphones to `complete the look'" or "headphones to match your outfit" are just two of many descriptions from creators.
