What does Chiron mean in the horoscope? What life wisdom of the mythological figure can we learn? 

L'Officiel Austria astologist Tanja Brock tells us about it.

Chiron is considered to be a wounded warrior. According to Greek mythology, he was the son of the Titan Kronos, representing the planet Saturn, who is said to have changed into the form of a horse when he wanted to make love to Philyra, a sea nymph. Their union produced a centaur, a being with the head and upper body of a human and the lower body of a horse. A demigod. The centaur child, named Chiron because of his dexterous and healing hands (ancient Greek: hand) was not attractive enough and appeared grotesque, so his mother disowned the beautiful sea nymph. But Apollo the god of the sun, the god of poetry, divination, and music, came to the rescue. Apollo and his sister Artemis, goddess of the moon and goddess of hunting adopted the little orphan Chiron and thoroughly instructed him in the mediumistic arts, sciences, and mysteries that he needed to serve and help the gods us humans.

Therefore, Chiron was quite different from the other Kentovians, who were considered rather good-for-nothing. He lived a rather secluded life and in time gained a lot of respect as a healer, astrologer, prophet, and teacher. At a feast, where wine was also drunk copiously, Chiron was accidentally hit by an arrow from his friend and Heracles. Actually, the tip of this arrow was soaked with the blood of the deadly Hydra. But even the demigod Chiron, who as the son of a Titan and a nymph possessed the privilege of immortality and was considered the greatest healer of his time, failed to heal his own wound.

What a tragedy, so he was able to heal the wounds of others hit by arrows - but not himself. So the legend says that from then on Chiron always suffered from his wound. He was freed from it only when he renounced his immortality to save the Titan Prometheus. Prometheus, because he wanted to save mankind and therefore stole the fire of Olympia, was fatefully chained to a rock by Zeus and condemned to endless suffering. An eagle ate out his liver every night, whereupon it grew again every day. Thus Prometheus was condemned to endless suffering. Prometheus could only be released from his suffering on the condition that a demigod renounce his own immortality.

Chiron, who now sacrificed himself, was banished as a consequence first into the underworld, according to the legend to Hades (astrologically Pluto), where he should remain for an indefinite time to come then into the sky of the gods and already short time later Chiron was transferred as a constellation into the sky, where he is to be found also today as an asteroid and/or planetoid (small planet). It moves between the orbits of Saturn and Uranus.

2.&nbsp;What does it mean to chart Chiron in a horoscope?&nbsp;

Technically, one calculates the position of the asteroid Chiron at the time of a person&#39;s birth in the zodiac sign and house. This means in which archetype energy of the 12th zodiac signs a specific healing theme could show up. And in which of the 12th astrological houses it works, or in which area of the life of the horoscope owner a specific wounding could show itself.

3. We have been in the <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/astrology/astrologer-tanja-brock-horoscope-2022">Aquarian Age</a> for a short time. Does this &quot;enlightening&quot; effect of Aquarius also have to do with the fact that Chiron is increasingly becoming the focus of spiritually interested people?

An important facet of the so-called Aquarian Age is the energy of change. The zodiac sign Aquarius is astrologically ruled by Uranus. If we remember that Chiron is, so to speak, the astronomical bridge builder between the planets Uranus and Saturn, which, by the way, will continue to act in Aquarius of all places until 2023, it all falls into place in a magical way. So that we can set off into a new age full of humanity and wisdom, it is important for each individual to deal with individual healing issues. As paradoxical as it sounds, the knowledge of our own original wound actually makes us complete and whole.

6.&nbsp;What does Chiron mean to you as an astrologer?

The astronomical symbol for Chiron is a key with a knob representing its orbit. Personally, I like the interpretation that with the analysis of Chiron you can open up a space of healing and at the same time activate your own soul and psychic self-healing powers. In my readings, a lot happens with each individual when we approach this topic. And personally, I can also find here my own bridge between shamanic and astrology. In a way, Chiron is also considered a shamanic point in the horoscope.
