Beyoncé and a (hotel) fairytale, like from 1001 Nights: Atlantis The Royal Dubai
"You don't talk about money, you have money" may be a saying, but in this case you don't have to talk about it to see it. But here we're talking about the opening of Atlantis The Royal Hotel, which even got superstar Beyoncé out from behind her (glittery) oven to get into gear after four years of absence.
When a hotel conceives its own music video with star DJ Tiësto and pop star Tate McRae, Beyoncé is persuaded to give an invite-only concert at the opening and Hollywood star Ellen Pompeo or top model Bar Rafaeli exchange kisses, then you know - this is all about attention.
No wonder, after all, Dubai's new luxury hotel "Atlantis The Royal" is a project of superlatives. It wants to be the "most luxurious beach resort" in the world, to let guests float on clouds with all its refinements and to set new standards with art and architecture. 795 rooms and suites, 44 of which offer terraces featuring private infinity pools and a curated array of bespoke room amenities from luxury brands including Hermès, Frette and Graff - what could you ask more of?
The architecture is not entirely new, however, because Atlantis The Royal Dubai on the Palm Jumeirah is modelled on a resort in the Bahamas that also belongs to the South African Kerzner International Holdings.
But who thinks about hotel's when you see Beyoncé's dress?
With a wardrobe designed by Atelier Zuhra from Dubai, Nicolas Jebran of Lebanon, Frolov from Ukraine and Dolce and Gabbana, Beyoncé was joined by her parents, and family, including husband JAY-Z.
