The “Plume de Paon” Line By Boucheron
Retrospective
No other than Frédéric Boucheron himself is responsible for the characteristic design. It is some 160 years ago that the founder of the traditional jeweller of the same name, who is based at Place Vendôme, immortalised the fascinating feathers of a peacock for the first time in a piece of jewellery. With the legendary “Point d’Interrogation” necklace, he thus laid the foundation for one of the most successful legacies of the house.
Triumph of Nature
Naturalistic forms are generally welcome at Boucheron - especially in the Haute Joaillerie, the jeweller regularly sets them monuments and captures the transient beauty of flora and fauna for eternity. Claire Choisne, who has been the artistic director for nine years now, also remains true to this line. A particularly iconic motif is the peacock feather - a classic that is being reinterpreted this season.
Showpiece
The extravagant form which nestles so elegantly to the neck, catches the eye. The latest version from the haute joaillerie collection presented this winter shines in finely forged gold and is opulently refined with diamonds. Similar to the example set by nature, both the piece of jewellery and its wearer are guaranteed to attract admiring glances. Not for the timid, but in the spirit of the inventor.
