Chloé bets on Upcycling for Spring/Summer 2022
The Chloé 2022 Spring/Summer collection presented by Gabriela Hearst brought as its purpose holistic and socio-environmental themes, with measures that are being implemented every new season, namely the reduction of environmental impacts in the use of organic materials and the reuse of fabrics from past collections.
Jeans were highlighted in this story, in collaboration with Adriano Goldschmied, the pieces feature mixed constructions in the Upcycling style, as well as basic pieces for daily use with technology for high durability, reusing existing materials.
Furthermore, 15% of the collection is being manufactured by the WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) in partnership with Made51, an initiative that helps refugee women from Afghanistan to preserve their textile heritage and enabling them to have decent working conditions.
With this we see a great influence on the new collection of such precious techniques, with artistic colors and plots, full of history, which are implemented in accessories with handcrafted construction in touches of personalization and lightness.
Knitting, crochet, and embroidery are still well present in this collection with touches of the 70s in the wide modeling and the presence of such iconic pieces, perhaps the atmosphere of "Age of Aquarius" won't leave our wardrobes anytime soon.
