The Retrofuturism of Preen by Thornton Bregazzi
How much television is too much? How much streaming and digital overload can we take? Yes, that may seem a bit grandmotherly, but it's a valid question. And it's one that Preen designer Thornton Bregazzi also asks himself. The lack of breaks, as was the case in the past when television did not broadcast at night but only showed a test card, interrupts fashion at Preen and shows message.
Amidst this retro-futuristic reflection, the brand presents a summer collection in the same mood, contrasting comfortable pleated trousers with neoprene tops, restrictive modeling, frilly vintage dresses, and - best of all - constructions that mix quantities of knits and patchwork of textures and ruffles. It feels like we're caught in a skillful glitch that couldn't be more stylish. A collection that is more in tune with the current zeitgeist than ever.
