Make Up: The Trends for this Season
In keeping with Virginie Viard's creations, who paid tribute to the fashion legacy of Karl Lagerfeld in her sumptuous couture robes, make-up artist Lucia Pica chose wickedly made-up Smokey Eyes, a dramatic eyelid line and, to crown it all, a new, rebellious pink on nails and lips for fall and winter. Delicate innocence makes way for provocation and breaking the rules, classical beauty gives way to boldness and authenticity.
"Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself," Gabrielle Chanel once said. The changing face of femininity is something that Mademoiselle understood only too well, since she, more than most, made a paradigm shift from one version of femininity to another. And so it was in her own story that the ingénue of the monastery's orphanage became the secular mademoiselle of Rue Cambon.
When rosa loses its innocence
Lucia Pica takes up the theme in the new make-up collection and plays with different ideas of character and femininity, mainly through the medium of color, which is most associated with gender: pink.
Of course it is not the classic innocent girl pink. Lucia's Pink is an adult raspberry pink that is more provocative and bold.
From lipsticks to eyeliners, nail polish and other beauty wonders, this collection is an enrichment for all grey autumn days.
This make-up collection is based on the LES 4 OMBRES eyeshadow range Candeur et Expérience from LE ROUGE - COLLECTION N°1 from autumn 2016. In a desire to further explore the connotations, concepts and meanings behind the palette, Lucia Pica built up a whole collection that expands the themes of this product.
From the dewy ingénue rosa of TREE ESSENTIEL Rosée to the stark dualities of light and dark femininity in LE VERNIS, the recurring transition from innocence to experience is evoked.
