Festive Season At The Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo
On your arrival, discover through awe-struck eyes a shower of stars above the path leading to the hotel. Inside, the whiteness of the ice pack invades the Salon des Princes, which also offers a snow-covered village in the midst of an enchanted forest. Children and adults take their places in the igloo, drifting into a dreamworld or writing a letter to Santa Claus. The white forest continues in the lobby, where huge white bears hold court in this setting with fairytale design, surrounded by magnificent fir trees and fabulous gifts. Everywhere, plays of light warm everyone's hearts, creating a magically soft atmosphere. The majestic journey to Nordic countries is totally dazzling, the moment to make your wildest dreams come true and enjoy the best Christmas ever!
This year, Christophe Cussac, Executive Chef of the Kitchens, and Patrick Mesiano, Pastry Chef at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, have created a very enticing Yuletide log. Delicately presented in a white cloak, it is decorated with golden feathers and snowflakes, echoing the hotel’s enchanting Christmas decor. An iced fantasy with vanilla, caramel and chips of pecan nuts. Irresistible!
THE “CRÊPES” HOUR !
This year, from November to the month of March, Christophe Cussac, Executive Chef at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, and Pastry Chef Patrick Mesiano have come up with a sugary new treat awarding the “crêpe” a place of honour. The divine dough in a recipe kept secret will be enhanced by the Pastry Chef's precious expertise in perfect choreography performed right before the customers' eyes. Who could resist a tasty sugar “crêpe”, a real childhood souvenir, or one topped with an irresistible homemade spread? Unless you simply melt for a delicious jam or the famous "crêpe Suzette" with an orange flavor and Grand Marnier liqueur, and the original Monégasque pancake in homage to the Principality. Fans of chocolate will still be offered the sublime pastries made in our very own "chocolate factory" such as Gianduja cake, "la religieuse", brioche with chocolate, and caramel tart…
Enjoy a gastronomic magical experience during the festive seasons in our Michelin starred restaurants: the Restaurant Joël Robuchon and YOSHI but also at the lobby bar.
At closing time, the Museum's doors open just for you and an unprecedented experience in which you will discover coral reefs and over 6,000 specimens. Armed with a torch, you will tour the aquariums, discovering the fascinating and unsuspected behaviour of fish after nightfall. The heritage decor of the "Salle des Conférences" and "Salon d’Honneur" is revealed in the beams of torch light. Along the way, take a pause before the imposing statue of Prince Albert I, founder of the Oceanographic Museum, and admire the fluorescent spectacle of the coral. On the first floor, after an impressive encounter with a giant squid, explore the majestic Whale Room and confront the skeletons of sea mammals. Up on the roofterrace, you will be spell-bound by the dark blue immensity of the Mediterranean, and a tasty refreshment awaits you, beneath the stars! This one-of-a-kind offer is proposed by the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco as part of the « Just for You » programme only for guests staying at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo.

About the hotel Monte-Carlo
Ideally situated in the Carré d’Or, within walking distance of the Casino, the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, awarded by Condé Nast Traveler in 2018 and 2019 among the best hotels in France and in Monaco, overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The sumptuous Belle Epoque property was built in 1889. It was fully renovated in 2004 by famous French designer Jacques Garcia, who transformed it into a palace of 125 rooms and suites with a Mediterranean charm in keeping with its era, combining glamour, sophistication and sensoriality. The food offering, inspired by Joël Robuchon and run by Christophe Cussac, offers a unique and varied culinary experience for the discerning palate. With two Michelin stars, “Restaurant Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo” specializes in refined dishes with Mediterranean flavors. “Yoshi”, Joël Robuchon’s only Japanese restaurant in the world, has one Michelin star and offers traditional Japanese cuisine in a bold and contemporary setting designed by Didier Gomez. Finally, “Odyssey” unveils its charming setting by the pool, with an Haute Couture décor designed by Karl Lagerfeld, and a menu inspired by the Mediterranean that celebrates fresh seasonal produce and light cuisine. In collaboration with the House of Givenchy, the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo opened the Spa Metropole by Givenchy in April 2017. Designed by architect Didier Gomez and beautifully integrated into this luxury hotel, it embodies the same philosophy shared in the House’s venues: exceptional location, luxurious spaces, sophisticated care treatments, and absolute pleasure and well-being.
