Villas have a modern, pared-back design: the guests can choose from their own haven perched on the sand or above the turquoise waters. Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) is a private airline headquartered on the grounds of Velana International Airport in Malé. This company operates world’s largest luxury seaplane fleet and serves over 2,500 passengers every day through regular and charter flights. TMA has a very unique way of operating, with a very high level of service. Unlike major airlines, it publishes new schedules every day, depending on the demand from the over 70 resorts that it services currently.
Operating out of Velana International Airport, TMA is the oldest air transfer operator operating in the country, providing seaplane transfer services to a large number of tourist resorts. TMA in 2013 operated the world's largest seaplane fleet.And as of 2016, December it operates out of Gan International Airport, servicing resorts in Addu, and Huvadhu Atoll. After the initial wow factor and the short walk to the airport building the hotel guests will need to go through the standard airport procedures. Upon clearing the immigration formalities and claiming your luggage, you will enter the Arrivals Hall; this is where the resorts and tour operators have their counters or representatives. The helpful airport representatives will then point you in the direction of, or take you to, the TMA check-in counter. After checking in and dropping off your baggage you will be transferred, by an air-conditioned buses, VIP vehicles or dedicated resort vehicles, to the TMA terminal.
