DIOR - An Exhibition At The Rodin Museum
The extraordinary décor for the Dior Fall-Winter 2021-2022 Haute Couture Show, created by Eva Jospin - in the heart of the Rodin Museum in Paris - will be open to the public from July 6 to 11, 2021.
The unique work, titled Chambre de Soie (Silk Room), is the result of a year-long process that involved a dialogue with multiple voices and references both the Indian-inspired embroidery room at Palazzo Colonna in Rome and Virginia Woolf's feminist manifesto A Room of One's Own.
The forty-meter-long gallery is entirely hand-embroidered by the virtuoso artisans of the Chanakya workshop and the Chanakya School of Craft in Mumbai, based on a unique design by the French artist, underlines the idea of collective energy close to Maria Grazia Chiuri's heart. The 350 square meter textile architecture unfolds like an ode to the precious savoir-faire and cultures of the world, at the intersection of art and haute couture.
