Champagne, Pizza & Charity: Moët & Chandon & Famiglia Barbaro Set Donation Record!
The gastronomic family BARBARO hosted a festive donation handover with strong support from local celebrities: Cathedral Pastor Toni Faber, society couple Beatrice and Heimo Turin, violinist Yury Revich, and Paul Lichter.
For another consecutive year, MOËT & CHANDON and the renowned gastronomic family BARBARO have made a strong statement for social commitment with their charity initiative "A TOAST FOR A CAUSE." Every glass of champagne served at the MOËT & CHANDON WINTER CHALET not only provided enjoyment but also contributed a donation to LICHT INS DUNKEL.
Since autumn 2024, the MOËT & CHANDON WINTER CHALET, located in the courtyard of the prestigious Pizzeria Regina Margherita, has transformed Vienna’s city center into a luxurious winter hotspot. Bigger and more popular than ever, guests enjoyed not only exquisite cuisine and the charm of an elegant mountain lodge, but with every glass of MOËT & CHANDON, they also made a valuable contribution to a good cause.
Thanks to this joint initiative, an impressive donation sum of €16,200 was collected again this year. On February 17, 2025, this amount was ceremoniously handed over to Mario Thaler, Managing Director of LICHT INS DUNKEL. During the check presentation, Jürgen Ebinger, Key Account On Trade Manager of Moët Hennessy Austria, along with Luigi Barbaro Sr. and his family, emphasized the importance of social responsibility and ongoing commitment.
A special highlight of this year’s donation handover was an exclusive charity breakfast with distinguished guests. In addition to hosts Luigi Barbaro Sr. & Jr., Cathedral Pastor Toni Faber, Miss Europe Beatrice Turin and her husband Heimo, violinist Yury Revich, and Paul Lichter gathered to support this meaningful cause and highlight the importance of solidarity in society.
Through "A TOAST FOR A CAUSE," over €100,000 has been raised for LICHT INS DUNKEL in recent years. Looking ahead, MOËT & CHANDON and the Famiglia BARBARO remain committed to continuing this initiative and supporting people in need.
