It´s about Time: Our current favourite timepieces
The busiest season has arrived. And we have picked our favorites to make sure you never run out of time.
As the classic goes, Rolex is unveiling the new generation of its Oyster Perpetual Collection.
The Submariner, Datejust, Oyster Perpetual and Sky-Dweller
The Submariner represents Rolex’ historic link with the world of diving. The timepiece features a redesigned, 41 mm case, feauturing either a black dial and a rotatable bezel, with matching Cerachrom insert, or an Oystersteel, in 18ct white gold.
The Datejust represents Rolex’ iconic aesthetics. Rolex has added four new white Rolesor versions to the Datejust range, including an aubergine, mint green, white lacquer, or a dark gray sunray-finish dial.
The Oyster Perpetual range is enhances with a new model - Oyster Perpetual 41, which includes a couple of novel configurations. A silver, or a bright black, sunray-finish dial graced with 18ct yellow gold hands, available in five new lacquer dials: candy pink, turquoise, blue, yellow, coral red and green.
The Sky-Dweller: An invitation to travel, is presented with an Oysterflex bracelet, crafted from 18ct yellow gold. It is the first watch from the Classic category to be fitted with an innovative bracelet made of high performance elastomer.
Next on our list is the Apple x Hermès collaboration. A partnership that began in 2015, combining Apple’s technological expertise with Hermès’ watchmaking. The Apple Watch Hermès Series 6 embodies functionality, connectivity and design with a fully customisable Hermès Circulaire watch face to support every lifestyle.
A new design and color palette is is here - Hermès Attelage. Reflecting the house’s heritage, the new model features a strap whose attachment extends above the case, available now in bright tones of piment, orange, ambre, bambou, navy and anémone. It reveals the double tour extra - slim or single tour straps in fauve Barénia calfskin, reasserting all the uniqueness of the object.
Last but not least on our list, is the Swiss innovative “Art of Fusion” collectionary - Hublot. For its 40th anniversary Hublot introduced three collectors’ models that are a reinvention of its 1980 Classic Original.
The Classic Fusion models embody 40 years packed with technological advancement and breaking the convention. The models capture the elegance and timelessness refinement of the Classic Original. The 45mm case, made from yellow gold, titanium or black ceramic, included the famous screws on the bezel and a sapphire crystal case back. Hubolt is known to boldly combine precious gold with a modern rubber, creating the “Art of Fusion” approach. It is a practical, robust and wearable model for all occasions combined with a unique horological product.
