Bvlgari Presents the Tubogas Collection: The Eternal Rebirth of Yellow Gold
Radiant yellow gold, sparkling gemstones, and timeless elegance – the Roman Maison Bvlgari presents the new Tubogas jewelry collection, featuring 16 pieces made of yellow gold, a precious metal that has established Bvlgari as a pioneering house since the 1950s, bringing shine and glamour.
The collection is a tribute to the long-standing pioneering spirit of the house and embodies the essence of Bvlgari: the iconic Tubogas creations and the use of yellow gold, whose luminous character symbolizes the warm tones of Italian landscapes and exudes the carefree feeling of Dolce Vita.
Deeply intertwined with the authentic DNA of the brand, Bvlgari Tubogas unfolds its versatility and connects the most distinctive aesthetic codes of the house. From simple creations to jewelry pieces adorned with colorful gemstones or emblematic Bvlgari motifs, the new collection once again expresses the highest level of jewelry artistry, uniting heritage and modernity.
As early as 1948, the visionary nature of the Maison began to emerge. Bvlgari started experimenting with Tubogas – named after gas pipes used in the 1920s for transporting gas under pressure – to create the flexible bracelet for its first Serpenti watch, revolutionizing the scene through seamless integration of functionality and aesthetics. In the 1970s, this technique became a true cult symbol and an expression of Italian art and typical eclectic style.
The colors, silhouette, and flowing forms of Bvlgari Tubogas are also reflected in the campaign. Julien Vallon, photographer and director, created a tribute to the symbiotic dance between the jewelry pieces and their wearers with his new Icon campaign. Flowing movements, a play of perspectives, and emotional expressiveness: in this campaign, professional dancers experience an intimate connection with the jewelry pieces, expressing both the softness and simultaneous clarity of Tubogas.
The glamorous presentation of the Bvlgari Tubogas collection in Vienna
The festive unveiling of the Tubogas collection took place as part of the Bvlgari Studio project in New York, a multidisciplinary platform where contemporary creatives reimagine the narratives of the house's icons. The launch of Bvlgari Tubogas was also celebrated in Vienna with numerous guests, including actors Philipp Hochmair, Bless Amada, Verena Altenberger, Mavie Hörbiger, and Emilie Schüle, as well as artists Alina and Sebastian CiuCiu, Ju Schnee, and Anouk Lamm Anouk. In keeping with the spirit of Maison, the iconic tailoring at Looshaus was bathed in orange light from Julian Epok's kinetic light sculpture “Corpus One,” transforming Bvlgari Tubogas' golden spirals into a spectacular visual experience.
