The Ferragamo logo is no more - this is what the new one looks like
You can see it at first glance. From Burberry to Balenciaga, from Balmain to Saint Laurent, the fashion industry is standardizing its logos. As an Op-Ed by John Whelan in "Business of Fashion" proclaimed, interchangeable, sterile logos are the new move for luxury brands. Individuality? Not a chance. And there's a reason for that. Because the designers behind the labels, such as Yves Saint Laurent or Cristobal Balenciaga, have long since passed away. New, young creative directors have long since taken the reins and have become interchangeable. The castling resembles that of the drivers in Formula 1, whereas the fashion industry pursues its own marketing trends, which take place in strictly hierarchical circles and have their own rules.
The latest clear cut in terms of logo is Salvatore Ferragamo. The label of the famous shoemaker is breaking new ground and setting the course for the future. This is also expressed in the new logo, which contains nothing of the old.
