Olivia von Halle: The queen of lounge wear and her slippers

No matter how many lockdowns we have ahead of us: Olivia von Halle beautifies them for us with luxurious slippers.

Inspired by the pajamas that Coco Chanel tailored and that also corresponded to 1920s party wear, Olivia von Halle's design philosophy has established itself and couldn't be more contemporary.

The brand combines modern, high-end design with traditional craftsmanship and is not afraid to call its pieces "decadent clothing". Olivia von Halle, who calls her loafers a "labor of love", involves artisans from Tuscany, Italy, who make them in a second-generation family-run factory.

The beautiful hand-stitched details give the loafers their soul. Comfort and luxury are at the heart of every Olivia von Halle design; using high-tech Ortholite (which is made from recycled rubber), normally found on sneakers, is applied to slippers for the first time to provide incredible, luxurious comfort. Given the amount of mileage, we put on our own homes these days, it's more than a smart design decision.

As with all her designs, the Olivia von Halle slippers are made with sustainability in mind. Using GOTS-certified cotton and vegetable-tanned leather for certain loafers to meet the brand's sustainability goals.

Each Olivia von Halle loafer brings the night to life with its own personality, such as the fun frivolity of the Contessa Romance, hand-stitched with pink feathers, the supremely elegant Contessa Balthazar, hand-decorated with a playful zebra motif, or the minimalist Contessa Verona
