"ELITE" stars grace the cover of the L'Officiel Austria summer issue

For the summer issue, L'Officiel Austria presents a very special couple: André Lamoglia and Valentina Zenere of the hit series "ELITE" (Netflix) exude in this exclusive editorial prestige. And not only that: They sat down with us and talked about things close to their hearts and their contribution to making the planet a better place.

André, some time ago you were chosen to represent Disney in National Geographic's worldwide Nat Geo Run campaign. Tell us a bit more about this project.

André Lamoglia: "It was a project that I was very happy to take part in because it shares the same values that I represent as a person, namely spreading sustainable attitudes to raise awareness of the impact of human actions on the environment. Anything is possible, but we need to wake up as early as possible, change the world one step at a time every day and help others change their bad habits."

You were very inspired by what you saw. Would you like to do something similar in the future?

André Lamoglia: "Yes, I have been dreaming of doing a social project for a few years. I don't know exactly which project I have in mind yet, because it doesn't only focus on children and young people, but on people in need in general. Also, I don't only want to offer fun activities about preserving the planet, but also think about basic needs, such as donating non-perishable food. I also want to give people who are undocumented the opportunity to be guided and make it easier for them to do so, etc."

"Preserving the environment is urgent. Otherwise, sooner rather than later, we will no longer have the world we have today." - André Lamoglia

Why is environmental awareness particularly important to you?

André Lamoglia: "We need to take care of our planet more than ever. Living a more sustainable life, dealing with the impact on the environment on a daily basis, and preserving the environment are urgently needed. Otherwise, sooner rather than later, we will no longer have the world we have today. Nature is not an inexhaustible source. Deforestation must be limited; it cannot be that the growth of industry, for example, takes priority. It is also no longer acceptable to give priority to disposable products and plastic when we have alternatives. We have many simple ways to contribute to a better world, and if everyone does their part to spread important information, everything will be better."

You're on the cover of the L'Officiel Austria summer issue! Have you ever been to Austria? Have you eaten schnitzel?

André Lamoglia: "I am honoured to be on the cover! Yes, I have been to Austria before and I really liked everything I saw, it's a beautiful country! I want to go next time when I have more time! And about the fact that I already ate Schnitzel, yes! You have amazing and well-seasoned cuisine, something in common with my country!"

Valentina, do you have a charity project that is close to your heart?

Valentina Zenere: "I believe that you can help every day with small things. Sometimes you don't have to do big things. I feel that I help the environment and animals a lot by not eating meat. I try to recycle rubbish whenever I can and not take things made of plastic. I want to feed myself with whatever nature gives me, as simple and beautiful as it may be. I also say that I want to be very well off financially so that in the future I can have a huge house where needy people and stray dogs can live."

What is your most prized possession when it comes to clothes, jewellery or watches?

Valentina Zenere: "My most precious piece of jewellery was given to me by my mother and is a small necklace that belonged to my sister Maria. She's no longer with us, but for me it's a very special necklace that I carry around with me everywhere, even though I'm afraid of losing it, because I feel like it's protecting me."

What's next for you after ELITE?

Valentina Zenere: "I am very focused on ELITE at the moment, which is a very special journey. I like to dedicate myself completely to the projects I am involved in. Now I will start my journey in music and that makes me very happy. Of course, I'm very ambitious and I have a thousand projects in my head that I'd like to do, and I hope to fulfill all my dreams."

Since you're gracing the cover of L'Officiel Austria - have you ever eaten schnitzel or visited Austria?

Valentina Zenere: "I was in Vienna when we did the Soy Luna tour a few years ago. I was only there for a short time because I was mainly working, but I would love to go back to see the city in more detail because I loved it. I don't remember eating schnitzel. Now that I'm a vegetarian, I think it will be harder for me to try it when I visit. Maybe there is a vegetarian option these days? If so, I'd love to try a vegan schnitzel!"
