Kulakovsky Winter ’21/22 Collection
The palette of the collection includes traditional shearling shades: brown, cream, and chestnut color, highlighted by pops of blue. Anyone familiar with 90’s style will recognize the main elements of winter wear of that time: round collars, robe silhouettes, and abundant fur trims.
The main object of desire of the collection is a long reversible shearling coat with a belt, made of powder blue sheepskin. Made to endure polar temperatures, this style has been a traditional winter staple for centuries.
A modern take on the traditional outerwear piece comes in the form of an exotic shining gold jacket with black contrasting shearling fur. The designer also offers a city wear option in blue, an oversized shearling aviator jacket.
Menswear is represented by classic shearling coats and sporty bombers.
The only accessory in the collection, shearling mittens, are exactly the gloves all Eastern Europeans had growing up. The cord used to be attached to the coat loop so that the mittens were not lost while outside. This sentimental flashback to childhood is something that the designer hopes will get us through the cold season.
