"House of Gucci": Trailer shows why Lady Gaga is an Oscar hopeful in 2022

There is probably no other fashion film in recent years that has raised so much dust. Now the trailer for "House of Gucci" is here.

Already the film set in Rome and Milan was besieged by fans and photographers. Day and Night was shot this spring under the direction of Ridley Scott, who brought a true 5-star cast in front of the lens. An (unrecognizable) Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Adam Driver and the very same Lady Gaga. The pop superstar with Italian roots seems to be absorbed in the role - at least it can already be seen from the trailer - as an Italian "mama".

She plays Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, heir to the house, who hired a contract killer out of revenge and greed for money. Piquantly, through her fortune teller, embodied in the film by Salma Hayek.

"House of Gucci" will also be released in Austria on November 21, 2021. Until then, we'll have to make do with the trailer, which already has Lady Gaga fans clamoring for an Oscar. Will it also be this one? We will see.

"House of Gucci" Trailer with Lady Gaga

It's a melange of sex, power, fashion and money that has the potential as a biopic to become a hit movie. Ridley Scott worked on this project for over ten years. While Angelina Jolie was actually considered for the role of Patrizia Reggiani, it has now become Lady Gaga.

And comparisons between the real Reggiani and Lady Gaga's version are already making the rounds on Instagram.
