Brioni's love for soft cuts is further enlivened and translated into pieces. Jackets are longer, trousers more voluminous, shoulders defined yet soft: this is the idea of "soft tailoring". Looks that can be used for numerous occasions combine lightness with aplomb.
Garments for real moments and experiences that are meant to be relevant both today and tomorrow: Tailored blazers, coats, field jackets and anoraks are as much a part of the collection as denim shirts and trousers, outerwear in knitwear or even coats in shearling and blousons and blazers in leather. Eveningwear highlights include a dinner jacket with a shawl collar in silk moiré or a tuxedo jacket with peaked lapels in hand-woven jacquard with velvet inlays.
The play with the finest wool, silk, leather and velvet underlines the outstanding quality of the looks. Black is the dominant colour in this collection, complemented by cream, brown and natural tones. Accents are set especially in turquoise and tobacco.
The women's capsule collection "La Donna" is characterised by exquisitely tailored outfits. Blazers, trench coats, capes, shirts and dinner jackets are developed from menswear. Using the same fabrics, however, the women's collection also plays with the expression of feminine grace. With elongated shirt blouses, dinner jackets that become coats and a long skirt with satin details, Brioni reinterprets evening wear for women.
The whole collection is rounded off with robust accessories such as boots, leather backpacks and handbags. The colour palette is heavy on black and near-black, cream and natural tones, with stray accents of turquoise and tobacco. It's a very Roman way of dealing with colour, reminiscent of Caravaggio: a kind of chiaroscuro brought to a tactile climax by the selection of the finest wool, silk, leather and velvet.
Entering the circle of life in the subtlest of ways, Brioni allows individuals to be themselves, in inner and outer balance.
