Behind the scenes of Max Mara Resort 2020
In the year of the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Max Mara pays tribute to the rebirth of a fantastic city, a reference point for art, architecture and design. Max Mara and Berlin share the same icons, like Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie, both of whom share a weakness for big-backed suits, palazzo pants and narrow-waisted trench coats. The precious artifacts from the Bronze Age preserved at the Neues Museum inspired a series of sculpted bracelets, necklaces and earrings.
In this context the Berlin coat made its appearance: pure white, sartorial attention, shoulders emphasized by embroidered flowers - a tribute to the splendid Meissen porcelain, the quintessence of German craftsmanship.
