Math had been described as “art motivated by beauty”. I would describe WAISTED, my shape-wear brand, as being “beauty motivated by math”.

Tell us a little bit about your background!

I was born and raised in St. Petersburg in Russia. I was scouted by Major Model Management and moved to New York to pursue my modeling carrier. While modeling I studied Computer Science. I currently hold a position of Lead Software Engineer.

What is your passion?

Two years ago my business partner and I started to work on the body sculpting clothing brand WAISTED.

How do you manage to excel at two such very different trades?

I wouldn’t say they are that different. To me they both represent art. Math had been described as “art motivated by beauty”. WAISTED is “beauty motivated by math”. We use extremely precise calculations in order to develop the pattern for perfect body sculpting.

How is WAISTED different from other shapewear?

It is not quite a shapewear, our main product is pants of different styles. The fabric we use is thicker than usual shapewear, which enables us to achieve a much higher level of body shaping due to our built in panel technology. As a result the waist gets two sizes smaller, the stomach gets absolutely flat and the muffing top is fully gone, and the pants are very comfortable to wear.
