#MFW: Genny's SS20 Collection is an Ode to Argentina

The Milan fashion week is more varied than ever: Genny, for example, focuses on South American flair.

Cotton fringes adorn a linen jacket, the classic poncho is interpreted in shades of green and black and embroideries and inlays on the suede bags leave no doubt: the SS20 collection of the Genny label is clearly inspired by Gauchos and the vastness of South America. Cigarette pants are elegantly combined with gilets and dresses are styled with matching corsets. The color palette was inspired entirely by the culinary arts and nuances of paprika, nutmeg, turmeric, white sesame and black pepper are served. A natural palette that is further enhanced by the exciting textures of the materials.

The eveningwear of the show should also be mentioned here: voluminous taffeta dresses decorated with fringes as well as embroidery in the form of orchid blossoms symbolizing the female side form a beautiful contrast to the strong day looks. The latter are much more dedicated to a modern Amazon due to the utility details - an ambivalence that is not less characteristic of Argentina.
