#PFW: Elie Saab's Fairytale Dresses
The fashion show by designer Elie Saab is withaout any doubt one of the highlights of the Paris Fashion Week. The reason? The designer's sensational designs that never fail to amaze women all around the globe. Extravagant and always elaborately embroidered, the brand stands for the ultimate glamour. A maxim that, by the way, is also lived in private – only recently the favourite of haute couture customers made headlines for a particularly joyful reason: His son Elie Saab Junior's wedding to Christina Mourad was the fashion event of the year. Influencers, fashion connoisseurs and friends of the house flew in from all over the world to attend the spectacle in Beirut.
The bride naturally wore (several) designs of her father-in-law at her fairytale wedding, who is known for making the princess dreams of his demanding customers come true. For the coming SS 2020 season, the Lebanese designer was inspired by Afro-American culture, especially that of the 1970s, and brought patterned dresses and tunics onto the catwalk - all designs in a lively and summery palette. Another highlight of the presentation were the accessories with eye-catching necklaces and turbans – a perfect fit for a princess.
