Beauty-Trends straight from the runway: The 5 most important Beauty-Trends from Copenhagen
Over time, the focus of trendsetters has increasingly turned north. Especially due to the rising popularity of Scandi-chic brands such as Stine Goya and Baum und Pferdgarten, Copenhagen is moving more and more into the focus of European fashion metropolises as an underestimated fashion centre far north.
And not without reason: The special thing about Copenhagen Fashion Week is the minimum standard for sustainability that the participating brands have to meet. This sets it apart from the other Fashion Weeks to such an extent that labels from all over Northern Europe are now increasingly showing their collections in Denmark.
Copenhagen Fashion Week not only sets trends in fashion, but also leads the way in beauty trends. With its very own sense of colour and form and a large portion of Scandinavian serenity, the Danish capital presents and reinterprets new and well-known beauty trends.
Trend 1: Edges (Baby Hair)
Styling baby hair or so-called "Edges" has been popular in the beauty world for a long time and is considered a trend hairstyle. Especially in the show of the Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt, the special technique of forming the baby hair in combination with a wet look was increasingly used. The trend also ran through the show at Baum and Pferdgarten.
Trend 2: Eyeliner variations
Eyeliner can also be found in every variation at this year's Copenhagen Fashion Week. Lovechild 1979 in particular impressed with a black graphic eyeliner. Followed by Stine Goya with an eye-catching, thick, white eyeliner. In addition, Jade Cropper also followed the eyeliner trend and showed her variation with a bold black eyeliner with significant "wings".
Trend 3: Colour accents in the hair
"Courage to colour" was also this year's motto of the Copenhagen fashion shows in relation to hair. Henrik Vibskov demonstrated this with an unusual presentation of the individual hair colours, in which the colour of the top of the head differed from that of the rest of the hair. Here, the colours were pastel or grey. But not only individual colour accents are trendy this season, but also a bright colour, as Jade Cropper showed in her show.
Trend 4: No-make-up look
The no-make-up look is the so-called "go-to" of the beauty world, which should not be missing from any fashion show. The special thing about this make-up look is the appearance of not wearing any make-up. A representative feature of the no-make-up look is healthy-looking, radiant skin and a natural-looking lip. In particular, the look was increasingly featured in the Rabens Saloner show. Martin Asbjørn and Lovechild 1979 made use of this trend as well.
Trend 5: Sleek Hair
Whether hair down and loose or tied up. The Sleek Hair look was also very present at this year's Copenhagen Fashion Week. Gestuz as well as Martin Asbjørn and Stine Goya presented this trend in different variations. While Gestuz and Stine Goya showed a classic sleek ponytail, Martin Asbjørn convinced us with a sleek middle-parted look with loose hair.
