Editorial: "In my dreams" by Julian Freyberg
Fairy-tale enchantment. The new beauty editorial "In my dreams" by Hamburg-based photographer Julian Freyberg takes you into a world that captures the edge of the surreal.
Julian Freyberg's photography takes us into a world full of mysticism, shown through fragile insect wings: "The colors and shapes of the insects are reflected in the looks, even the wings of a dragonfly glisten in the sunlight. So our vision was to incorporate the small details of the insects into the looks and bring them together to create a work of art." The "beauty of nature" always in focus, becomes the main protagonist here for the fauna: dragonflies, butterflies, and beetles become the jewelry. Hair & Makeup Artist Maurice Rothgänger focused on the "Natural Look", which was staged with hair clips and earrings by Dolce&Gabbana, Versace as well as Vivienne Westwood.
The beauty of nature, especially of insects, is not always visible at first sight. But at second glance, one notices how much nature is reflected in ourselves.
