Beachy Waves: The Look Is So Easy
Beachy waves are the must-have for the summer look. The casual waves are much easier to create than you probably think.
A relaxed day at the beach, the sun gently kissing your skin, the sound of the waves in your ear - who doesn't wish for this carefree atmosphere? Beach waves create a casual, summery mood. With a few tips, wavy hair can be styled effortlessly by yourself.
We show 3 variations on how to achieve beachy waves:
- Beachy waves with a curling iron
- Beachy waves with a straightening iron
- Beachy Waves without heat
For the variants with heat, it is important to prepare the hair for it. It is essential to use a heat protection spray. Then comb the hair well.
Beachy Waves with a Curling Iron
For the curling iron version, 2 to 3 cm thick strands are wrapped around the curling iron. The last part of the hair (about 3 to 5 cm) should become straight to get the perfect beach look. The front strands are twisted away from the face. The remaining strands can either be twisted in this same direction or - for a voluminous look - alternately left and right.
Tip: When twisting the curls, the handle of the curling iron should point towards the ceiling and the tip towards the floor.
Then wait briefly until the hair has cooled down. Then loosen the hair a little with your fingers - do not comb! Finally, fix the waves with hairspray or use a sea salt spray for a salty finish.
Beachy Waves with a Straightener
Beachy waves can be made particularly quickly with a straightening iron. After a centre parting has been made, the two sections of hair are separated again in the middle and at the back. There should be a total of five plaits. Then twirl the first section of hair around your fingers. Now glide the straightening iron piece by piece along the twisted braid. Repeat this process for the other 4 plaits. Then carefully open and loosen the individual sections of hair with your fingers. Then fix it again with spray.
Beachy Waves without Heat
To style beachy waves without heat, it is best to wash your hair in the evening. Depending on your preference, you can add a sea salt spray to damp hair. Comb the damp hair well and then braid it loosely. Do not start directly at the roots and leave a few centimetres free at the bottom of the hair. The larger the braids, the bigger the waves will be. Then leave to dry overnight and the next morning carefully open the braids and loosen them with your fingers. Fix the waves with a spray and the beach look is finished.
