Social Guar Initiative
The Social Guar Initiative is a collaboration with inspiring people from 7 villages in Dungargarh, India. This is because certain areas in India are home to the guar bean. This plant is not only a miracle cure for the body, but also a popular ingredient in all skin care products. As part of the project, farmers - 25% of whom are women - are trained to sow, cultivate and harvest guar plants in the most sustainable and productive way under fair working conditions.
The farmers and their families are supported in planting vegetable gardens from which they can harvest edible plants, and they are also trained in health and nutrition. In order to reduce the ecological footprint, no chemicals are used and the farmers learn how to maintain the condition of the soil.
By selecting ingredients with a transparent value chain, Authentic Beauty Concept contains guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride. This is a nourishing ingredient that improves combability and hair feel.

Love Your Texture - The New Products From Authentic Beauty Concept
In September 2023, the beauty brand added three brand new products to its Hydrate range. As the name suggests, these products are particularly suitable for hair with a lot of bounce as well as hair with more or less characterised curl patterns. Each product has been developed to emphasise the natural structure of the hair. Whether curls have been neglected and need help to regain their natural look or have been damaged by heat styling or chemical processes, the new care trio offers formulas to get hair texture back on track.
Every curl is different, just like you! That's why this product range offers something for every need. All three products contain Murumuru butter and sustainably sourced linseed oil, both of which are known to nourish and strengthen hair. Murumuru butter, a natural emollient, is valued for its moisturising properties and provides natural protection against sun damage, heat and other damaging influences. Flaxseed oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help to increase the hair's moisture content and strengthen it. This powerful ingredient is also a rich source of vitamin E, B1, B2, B6 and biotin, which together improve hair elasticity.
During a visit to HAIRBYPETER, L'Officiel Austria was able to see and test the latest product range up close. Starting with a warm welcome and a detailed discussion, we then proceeded to a relaxed hair wash. The hair was then cut in a pleasant atmosphere, where every step was explained. Finally, the new products came into play.

Three weeks have now passed since my visit to the hairdresser. Since then, the products in the new "Love your Texture" range have been tested regularly. The Smoothing Serum is ideal not only to moisturise the hair, but also to prepare it for all other products afterwards. Despite the curl gel and mousse, the hair remains supple and soft and also serves as good protection during the cold winter days. The Curl Enhancer Gel is applied after the serum and brings out the natural curls without stickiness. The texture does not resemble a typical hair gel, but is much gentler and does not leave behind any annoying "crunchy curls" as hairstylist Peter calls them. For the fact that the products leave a light feeling on the hair, the effect is amazing. The curls feel soft, defined and extremely healthy.
The light and intensively moisturising water-based serum reduces frizz and smoothes the hair surface. The serum provides silky curl definition without weighing it down and gives the hair shine and silky smoothness. Use on damp or dry hair by applying a small amount of the serum to the lengths and ends.
An intensely moisturising leave-in gel with a light formula for perfectly defined curls - without weighing them down! The jelly-like consistency is easy to apply, protects hair from humidity, reduces frizz and enhances natural shine. The hair surface is smoothed and the curl shape emphasised, with a soft finish and flexible hold. Apply to damp hair before styling and distribute evenly from roots to ends.
