Roberto Maggio on His Passion for All Things Technology
Maggio's primary business is a company that develops electronic payment support systems, which are supplied all over the world. He is also the head of an established company in Dubai that deals with the supply of hospital equipment and a luxury yacht rental company in the Canary Islands. Last but not least, Maggio is active in the business consulting, investment, and real estate sectors.
What many people find fascinating, besides Maggio's tremendous success, is the fact that his entrepreneurial journey started when he was very young.
"What I know for sure is that it all started with my passion for technology. I would say that I was a child like every other, raised in a family like many others, but with one difference: a computer, given to me by my parents, and an incredible desire to know all its secrets. When I was just a young boy, I realized that I was much more productive than all my peers and that I could use this productivity to achieve great things. This passion led me to develop, among the first in Italy, the first programs, the first websites, and to acquire those technical and managerial skills that allowed me to build a millionaire web service," Roberto Maggio says.
Maggio also frequently mentions that his strong character is one of the main reasons for his success.
"I've always had a strong character and, at one point in my life, it became clear to me that I was not inclined to work as someone's employee and that I needed to create something of my own to be responsible for," Maggio says.
Nowadays, even after 40 years of doing business, Maggio's strong will, curiosity, and a never-dormant hunger for new ideas still push him to keep innovating. When it comes to Maggio's plans for the future, one thing is certain: he doesn't plan to stop.
"At the moment, I am working a lot in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria, where I plan to establish an industrial printing house, construct a hotel, open a restaurant together with champagne oyster bars. I am also working on opening a pizzeria in Dubai," Maggio says.
Even though many admire Maggio for his tremendous success, he claims that practically anyone can achieve what he did. "Being an entrepreneur is challenging, but it's not a result of luck or coming from a wealthy family,” Roberto Maggio says. “All you need is dedication, a strong will, and passion for what you're doing. That is my secret to success, and I believe that any person who puts in lots of hard work and effort will succeed in whatever they put their mind to."
