Fashion Meets Music: Francesco Scognamiglio Designs for Madonna's New Tour
From Jean Paul Gaultier to Givenchy to Armani - many great designer had the honor to work for pop icon Madonna and were allowed to make stage outfits for the singer. Among the unforgettable fashion highlights of an almost 40-year career are cult designs such as the "Cone Bra" for the artist's "Blonde Ambition Tour", the cowboy/country looks of the "Drowned World Tour" or the Asian-inspired costumes of the "Rebel Heart Tour". Partly provocative, partly avant-garde and quite regularly politically motivated - Madonna has not only written music history, but also fashion history!
The stage costumes for her latest tour "Madame X" will of course follow the legendary looks. This time the singer collaborated with designer Francesco Scognamiglio. For the latest stage show, which recently celebrated its premiere in Brooklyn, New York, the Italian fashion designer designed a very special look for the Queen of Pop: The chiffon dress with frills and plenty of Swarovski stones is intended for the Latin part of the show and wonderfully combines the characteristic style elements of the brand with those preferred details on which the pop diva has increasingly relied in recent years. The two have been friends for many years, so it came as no surprise that the designer perfectly combined his feminine aesthetics with those of the singer - the result: a look that we will remember for a long time to come.
