Adventure is part of Panerai's very identity, as evidenced by its ambassadors, iconic adventurers with impressive exploits. The #OwnYourTime streaming program launched by Panerai allows members of the Panerai community and all those interested in the world of watchmaking to interact with these adventurers.
The next two meetings are already scheduled for April 15 at 6 p.m. and April 18 at 11 a.m. on Panerai Instagram with Jimmy Chin, mountain sports enthusiast, photographer for National Geographic and Oscar-winning American director, and Gregorio Paltrinieri , swimmer member of the Italian Olympic swimming team.
Jimmy Chin is famous for his ability to capture extraordinary shots and deliver exceptional stories while climbing or skiing in extreme environments or during perilous expeditions.
A long-time member of The North Face Athlete Team, he has led several exploration expeditions and pioneered climbs around the world, teaming up with the greatest adventurous athletes.
In 2019, his film Free Solo was awarded at the BAFTA and won the Oscar for best documentary.
For his part, Gregorio Paltrinieri is an Olympic medalist and world champion in swimming in small and large pools. He was three times European medalist in the long distance over 1,500 meters freestyle in 2012, 2014 and 2016. The Italian swimmer is the current world record holder in the 1,500 meters freestyle in the short course. He also holds the European record for 800 meters and 1,500 meters in freestyle.
These meetings are broadcast free of charge in Instagram stories and on Facebook. In the future, Panerai plans to enrich and diversify the offer on #OwnYourTime by offering in particular discussions by groups of experts or even training.
