The wait is finally over. Music’s new pop prodigy Billie Eilish has finally released her debut record When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go. The 17-year-old singer-songwriter has been building up the momentum for her debut LP for quite some time. In January, she announced the album by dropping a new single, “bury a friend,” along with its music video. The album had already amassed 800,000 pre-downloads, and Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep World Tour, which starts on May 29th at Coachella, has already completely sold-out.

The highly-anticipated album has been described as “noir pop with teeth,” and “thrilling Gen Z terror pop.” Along with the record, which also features singles “you should see me in a crown,” “when the party’s over,” and “wish you were gay,” Eilish has dropped a new single and music video for “bad guy.” It was directed by Dave Meyers, who also directed the Kendrick Lamar’s video for “Humble.”

The record was created in Eilish’s home, with brother and frequent collaborator, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Finneas O’Connell. On working with her brother, Eilish says: “We had to do this album our way. I realized how lucky I am to have my brother in this. If I didn’t have him, I would have to figure out what the hell I was doing without someone else there with me!”

On the album, Eilish shares that ultimately, her goal is to be heard, and make people feel heard: "Nothing on this album sounds the same, but it all adds up to a whole. Since I first started doing music, my life has changed a lot. One thing that hasn’t changed in my music is that I still just do me.”

When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go is now available on all streaming platforms. Watch the video for new single “bad buy” below.
