The "St Honoré" by Dior: A piece of history reinterpreted

Barely a year on the market, the new classic is enjoying a "new look" that is completely in keeping with the tradition of the house.

In the best of company
Ever since designer Maria Grazia Chiuri took over the creative reins at Dior, fashion lovers have had a hard time keeping their fingers on the pulse. The Italian-born designer has been creating new desires and It-bags almost in the chord.

In addition to the revitalization of the "Saddle Bag", creations such as the "Bobby", the "Book Tote" and most recently the "Caro Bag" have become indispensable everyday companions. Since its premiere during the Cruise Collection 2021, the "St Honoré" model has also seamlessly joined the (wish) list.

Noble pedigree
The model, originally available in two different sizes and five colour variations, scores points precisely because of its unagitated elegance. Whether made of grained calfskin or smooth box leather, the purist design is convincing, revealing its origins only through the metal fastener. Inspired by the Maison's flagship store on Rue Saint-Honoré, it is part of the "30 Montaigne" family of timeless essentials that pay tribute to Dior's heritage.

New Look
The conservative look is over, though. In the current Autumn/Winter 2021/2022 collection, the otherwise so reserved "St. Honoré" shows its wild side and attracts attention in a leopard look. This is by no means out of the ordinary; the pattern was already present in the very first collection presented by Christian Dior in 1947. A skillful homage!
