Prada Re-Nylon: new edition adds a luxurious touch to the classic collection
There are many reasons why the Italian luxury label is one of the biggest and most popular brands in the world. Now it is the green version of the iconic materials of the house, managed by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, that is inspiring. Already last year the re-nylon fabric was presented in a capsule collection with six classic models of bags for men and women: great accessories made of regenerated, ecological and 100% sustainable nylon, made from ocean plastic, fishing nets and textile waste.
For Miuccia Prada, there are hardly any aesthetic or social limits to which she can be constrained. This is also how the house's bestseller was created in 1984: Back then, bags made of nylon were frowned upon in high fashion, one more reason for the designer to create luxury bags from this material.
In 2020 the idea will be expanded and regenerated nylon will be introduced in clothing for the first time. The first shoes made of the material in question, which was used to make high and low sneakers and military boots, were also presented. The range of accessories was also expanded to include hats, belts and various models of bags for men and women, including fanny packs, rucksacks, shoulder straps and a re-edition model from 2000.
All accessories and garments also feature the Prada Re-Nylon logo and the Prada triangular logo, which has been reworked as a loop arrow and is a symbol of the constant renewal and cyclical, eternal life of Re-Nylon.
The Prada re-nylon collection is available in selected Prada boutiques, on prada.com and from selected partners via pop-up stores.
